# Trackers

## **What are Trackers(Smart Cards)?**

In Sparky, Trackers help you log anything in your daily life—expenses, meals, moods, workouts, bubble tea, and more.&#x20;

Think of Trackers as building blocks (like LEGO pieces) for your personal dashboard in Sparky. We offer ready-to-use templates, and you can also create your own custom Event Cards.

## **How to Use?**

There are two ways to use Event Cards:

* **AI Assist:** Just record your content and pick an event—the Sparky AI will extract the data and fill in the card for you.
* **Manual:** Manually enter each field on the card.

## **How to Customize?**

* **AI Creation:**\
  Simply describe the kind of event you want to track, and AI will help build the card structure for you. The more detailed your description, the more accurate the AI will be.
* **Manual Creation:**\
  Set up each property yourself—each card needs at least one property.

### **Types of Properties**

* **Number:**\
  Log numbers like calories, weight, amount, etc. You can add units.
* **Select:**\
  Choose one or more options from a list. If you need single or multiple selection, mention it in the notes section.
* **Text:**\
  Input text, like book titles or names. You can also enter content for the AI to summarize.

## **Stats and Charts of Trackers** <a href="#charts" id="charts"></a>

You can view and edit the stats and of each Tracker on the **Trends** page (the second tab). This helps you easily track and understand all your data at a glance.

We support four types of views:

**Metric**\
Used to display numerical statistics and calculations, such as total expenses, calorie intake, body weight, and other data.

**Line**\
A line chart is ideal for showing data trends over time.

**Bar**\
A bar chart is suitable for grouped aggregation and calculations. You can aggregate data by date or by different categories/options.

**Calendar**\
Displays your data in a daily calendar view, such as a weight calendar or an expense calendar. The yearly view can also show a heatmap of your records across the entire year.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sparkylife.co/main-features/trackers.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
